1. About UnitedTags
UnitedTags is an online platform that allows users to create and manage smart QR codes linked to editable digital profiles. Tags can be used for pets, medical IDs, business cards, equipment, and more.
By creating an account and using UnitedTags, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, you must not use the service.
2. Your Account
- You must provide a valid email address to create an account.
- You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure.
- You must not share your account with others or allow unauthorised access.
- You must not create accounts using false information or impersonate another person.
- We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
3. Tokens and Tags
A "token" represents the right to create one QR tag on the platform. Tokens are purchased through your dashboard and credited to your account balance.
- One free lifetime tag is included on account signup — this tag is permanent and never expires.
- Purchased tokens allow you to create additional tags.
- Tokens have no expiry date and remain in your account until used.
- Tags remain live and scannable as long as your account is active, regardless of your service plan status.
- With an active service plan, you can change template types and purchase new tokens. Without one, existing tags continue to work but no new tokens can be purchased.
4. Service Plan
New accounts include 12 months of the service plan at no charge. After this period, continued access to platform management features (changing templates, purchasing tokens) requires an active service plan at the published renewal price.
The service plan is billed annually. Renewal is at your discretion — we will not auto-charge you without your action.
5. Payments and Refunds
All payments are processed securely by Stripe. UnitedTags does not store your card details.
Refund policy: We offer refunds on token purchases and service plan payments upon request. When a refund is processed, the associated tokens or service access will be removed from your account. To request a refund, contact us at support@unitedtagsltd.com or via the support ticket system in your dashboard, within a reasonable time of purchase.
Refunds are not available for tokens that have already been used to create QR tags.
6. Acceptable Use
You must not use UnitedTags to:
- Store or display illegal, harmful, or abusive content on your tags
- Impersonate another person or business
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to other users' accounts or tags
- Use the service in a way that could damage, disrupt, or overburden our systems
- Violate any applicable law or regulation
We reserve the right to remove tag content or suspend accounts that violate these rules without notice.
7. Your Content
You own the content you store on your QR tags. By using UnitedTags, you grant us a limited licence to store and display that content solely for the purpose of operating the service (e.g. showing your tag profile when a QR code is scanned).
You are solely responsible for ensuring the content you store on your tags is accurate, lawful, and does not infringe any third-party rights.
8. Service Availability
We aim to keep UnitedTags available at all times but cannot guarantee uninterrupted service. We may carry out maintenance, updates, or experience downtime outside of our control. We are not liable for any losses caused by service unavailability.
9. Limitation of Liability
UnitedTags is provided "as is". To the fullest extent permitted by law, we exclude all warranties, express or implied, regarding the service.
We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from your use of the service, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of revenue, or damage caused by reliance on tag content in an emergency.
Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.
10. Account Termination
You may close your account at any time by submitting an account closure request via the support ticket system in your dashboard, or by emailing support@unitedtagsltd.com. When submitting your request you can choose whether active tags (already scanned and set up by customers) are kept live or removed. Unused tags are always deleted on account closure.
We may terminate or suspend your account if you breach these terms, with or without notice depending on the severity of the breach.
11. Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the "last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
For significant changes we will make reasonable efforts to notify you by email.
12. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
